Traffic Restrictions and Reasons for the Works
According to a statement from the municipal corporation “Kyivavtodor”, from April 22 to 27, pedestrian movement in the underground passages at these squares will be partially restricted due to repairs and ceiling painting. During this period, the passages will be inaccessible from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
As explained by the road workers, these works are part of planned repair activities aimed at updating and improving the condition of the underground passages. Such repairs will not only enhance safety and comfort for residents and visitors of the city but also contribute to the long-term operation of the facilities.
Details of the Movement Restrictions
Specifically, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM during the period from April 22 to 25, movement will be restricted in the underground passage at European Square, near the exit to the National Center “Ukrainian House”. Similarly, during the same hours from April 22 to 27, there will be restrictions in the passage at Independence Square, near Architect Horodetsky Street.
These measures are aimed at improving the city’s infrastructure and creating safer and more comfortable conditions for pedestrians in the capital’s center.
