У Київзоо родина азійських антилоп «переїхала» на нові квартири

With the arrival of spring warmth, the family of the largest Asian antelopes — Nilgai, has begun all-day grazing in their newly renovated enclosure. The zoo’s creators reported that the area of the enclosure has been expanded to 500 square meters, and the outer fence has been replaced with a safe net recommended by European specialists.

Living Conditions for the Antelopes

The caretakers have also provided several types of ground for the animals, including crushed stone for hoof wear, sturdy ground for active play, wood chips, and hay for resting. To offer additional protection from rain and sun, a canopy made of palm leaves has been installed, where the antelopes enjoy resting after a nutritious meal.

Natural Conditions in the Enclosure

Kyiv Zoo has also taken care to create a green area and a large pile of leafy forage branches. These elements allow the antelopes not only to feed but also to find shelter.
