Appointment Procedure and Previous Personnel Changes

It is worth recalling that in August 2025, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko instructed Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko to present to the government the issue of forming a competition commission for selecting the head of the State Customs Service. This decision became part of a long process of reforming the customs system.

Earlier, on February 1, 2023, the government dismissed the acting head of the State Customs Service, Vyacheslav Demchenko, and the first deputy, Oleksandr Shchutskyi. Following this, the duties of the head of the agency were assigned to Serhiy Zvyahintsev.
