The situation remains most tense in the Pokrovsk direction

Over the past day, 258 combat clashes were recorded between Ukrainian units and Russian occupiers. The hottest events took place in the Pokrovsk direction, where the intensity of hostilities was highest.
Massive strikes and actions by the Russians in various directions
On December 26, the enemy carried out one missile strike and 65 air strikes, using one missile and dropping 174 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the aggressor conducted 3130 artillery shellings, of which 115 were from multiple launch rocket systems, and also deployed 3624 kamikaze drones to target Ukrainian positions.
The air strikes were directed at the city of Kharkiv, Prosyana and Pokrovsk (Dnipropetrovsk region), Ternuvatyi, Pryluky, Zaliznychne, Vozdvizhivka, and Novodanylivka (Zaporizhzhia region), as well as at Otradokamyanka in the Kherson region.
At the same time, the missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck two areas where enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment were concentrated, as well as another important enemy facility.
Overview of combat actions in key directions
In the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, three attacks by the Russians were recorded. The occupiers carried out two air strikes, dropping four guided aerial bombs, and conducted 97 shellings, including one from a multiple launch rocket system.
The South Slobozhansky direction was marked by nine attacks on Ukrainian defenders’ positions near Vovchansky Khutory, Prylipka, Starytsia, as well as towards Vilcha and Izbytske.
In the Kupiansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 12 enemy assaults near Pishchane, Kruhlyakivka, as well as towards Petropavlivske, Novoplatonivka, and Kupiansk.
The Lyman direction was attacked 33 times in the areas of Hrekivka, Novovodyane, Novoiehorivka, Novoselivka, Kopanky, Kolodiaziv, Serednie, Ridkodub, Karpivka, Zarichne, as well as towards Lyman and Drobysheve.
In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy carried out eight offensive actions in the areas of Siversk and Dronivka, which were successfully repelled by Ukrainian forces.
Ukrainian defenders in the Kramatorsk direction repelled three attacks near Min’kivka and towards Virolyubivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy attempted to break through 25 times near Oleksandro-Shultine, Shcherbynivka, Pleschiivka, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar, as well as towards Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the Defense Forces stopped 63 enemy assaults near Shakhove, Pankivka, Nikanorivka, Myrnohrad, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udačne, Novoserhiivka, and Dachne.
The Russians also carried out 21 attacks in the Oleksandrivka direction near Zelenyi Hai, Yalta, Tovstyi, Sichnevo, Verbove, Vyshneve, Voronoi, and Rybne.
In the Huliaipole direction, 31 attempts by the enemy to advance were repelled in the areas of Varvarivka, Solodke, and Huliaipole.
The Orikhiv direction was marked by nine attacks by the Russians, which were stopped near Mala Shcherbakivka, Stepnohirska, Stepove, and Mala Tokmachka.
“The total losses of Russian occupiers over the past day amounted to 1240 personnel, five tanks, 19 armored combat vehicles, 33 artillery systems, 205 unmanned aerial vehicles, 158 units of automotive equipment, and a heavy flamethrower system.”
