Discussion on Innovation and Support
The European Commission confirmed that “We see Ukraine as a model of innovation and efficiency in defense. Mutual training and support for each other’s defense industries can only be beneficial. Of course, this is also related to the digital sphere, so these are topics that were discussed this morning.”
Next Steps in Cooperation
President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen also noted on her social media page that “We are working on integrating our defense industries… Therefore, expanding cooperation between us will also bring great benefits.” Currently, the Ministry of Digital Transformation has not provided additional information about the details of this important conversation.
Mykhailo Fedorov, who coordinates Ukrainian military equipment manufacturers, including drones, rarely comments on these issues publicly. However, it is worth noting that back in November 2022, he reported receiving 1,570 Starlink terminals from Poland, indicating Ukraine’s active engagement in digital technologies within the defense sector.
