Heavy Fighting in the Pokrovsk and Lyman Directions: Frontline Situation Over the Past Day

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released information regarding the operational situation on the front over the past day.

Intensity of Combat and Enemy Losses

Over the past day, there have been approximately 150 combat engagements along the line of contact. The fiercest clashes were recorded in the Pokrovsk and Lyman directions, where Russian forces attempted to breach the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ukrainian defenders eliminated nearly 1,120 occupiers, two tanks, ten armored combat vehicles, 51 artillery systems, and a multiple launch rocket system, as well as 205 operational-tactical level drones and 115 units of automotive and special equipment, including fuel tankers.

“The enemy launched two missile strikes and 51 airstrikes, using two missiles and dropping 79 guided bombs, conducted 1,120 kamikaze drone strikes, and fired upon our troops and settlements 4,500 times,” the General Staff reported.

Current Situation on the Frontline Directions

  • North-Slobozhansky and Kursk Directions: Ukrainian defenders repelled eight attacks from Russian units.
  • South-Slobozhansky Direction: Defense forces held their positions during eight enemy assaults.
  • Kupyansk Direction: The aggressor attempted to attack Ukrainian fortifications four times.
  • Lyman Direction: Russians conducted 19 assaults on the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
  • Seversky Direction: Ukrainian soldiers repelled three enemy attacks.
  • Kramatorsk Direction: Ukrainian forces halted one enemy attack.
  • Toretsk Direction: Occupiers stormed the defenders’ positions six times.
  • Pokrovsk Direction: The enemy carried out 54 assault and offensive actions in the areas of 15 settlements.
  • Novopavlivsk Direction: 13 attacks by the invaders were recorded.
  • Huliaipole Direction: The enemy unsuccessfully attempted to advance.
  • Orikhiv Direction: Defense forces repelled an attack by the Russians.
  • Dniprovsk Direction: Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stopped three enemy assaults.

The operational situation on the front remains complex; however, Ukrainian military forces continue to successfully hold back the enemy’s offensive actions and inflict significant losses on them.
