In Kyiv, decorator Vadim Tupchiy was killed as a result of a Russian shelling

On the night of November 25, Kyiv experienced yet another massive attack from the Russian Federation. As a result of a direct hit by a Shahed kamikaze drone on a high-rise building in the Dnipro district, the well-known Ukrainian prop master and decorator Vadim Tupchiy was killed.

Details of the tragedy in the Dnipro district

Vadim Tupchiy’s home, where he had lived for 26 years, was completely destroyed during the nighttime shelling. In that very apartment, the renowned master had set up his creative workshop. After the explosion, the son of the deceased was unable to contact his father and later identified him among the victims of the tragedy.

“I recognized him by his underwear, by parts of his face,” said Anton Tupchiy.

Vadim Tupchiy’s contribution to art and the consequences of the strike

Vadim Tupchiy was known for his work on props for the popular television show “The Long-Nosed”, particularly for creating the famous noses for the program’s participants. His death is a significant loss for the Ukrainian artistic community.

Journalist Denys Kazansky also confirmed this information, noting that it was this shelling that killed the talented decorator, whose creativity was known to many Ukrainians.

“With today’s shelling, they (the Russians) killed Vadim Tupchiy, a well-known decorator and prop master who created noses for ‘The Long-Nosed’. His apartment was directly hit by a Shahed. Such victories for the Russian army now,” Kazansky wrote.

In total, as a result of this attack, at least seven people were killed in Kyiv, and rescue operations in the affected areas are ongoing.
