Law enforcement in the capital uncovered a 35-year-old Kyiv resident involved in the illegal trafficking of narcotic substances, which he concealed in light bulbs. This scheme allowed him to evade the attention of law enforcement and facilitate the shipment of psychotropics using postal services.

According to the Kyiv police, investigators established that the resident of the Holosiivskyi district accepted orders via messaging apps and sent the goods in postal shipments, packing the psychotropics inside light bulbs. The perpetrator was caught while heading to the post office with another batch, in which law enforcement found 28 packages containing light bulbs, inside which were psychotropics.
In these light bulbs, law enforcement discovered Alpha-PVP packaged in zip bags. Additionally, various drugs were seized at the residence of the arrested individual, including cannabis, MDMA, amphetamine, and several other samples of psychotropics, as well as electronic scales and items for packaging drugs.
Dangerous Scheme and Possible Consequences
The perpetrator faces up to 12 years of imprisonment with property confiscation for illegal drug trafficking. The police emphasize that such methods of concealing and transporting psychotropics pose serious threats to public safety and contribute to the spread of drug addiction.

It is noted that criminal schemes employing unconventional methods of disguise complicate the fight against illegal drug trafficking, prompting law enforcement to continue active measures to uncover and halt such criminal schemes.
