Rescue of Animals from the Rubble After a Rocket Attack in Markhalivka
This is reported by Kyiv24
In the village of Markhalivka, which was affected by yet another rocket attack from the Russian Federation, volunteers from the Kyiv animal rescue team conducted a complex operation to save four cats that were trapped under the rubble of destroyed houses. During the shelling, 22 residential buildings in the area were completely destroyed.
Details of the Animal Rescue Operation
To reach the animals, the rescuers used special tools to lift debris. Given the complexity of the situation, every step during the deblocking required maximum caution, as even the smallest mistake could cost the lives of the animals that survived the destruction.
“It was a difficult, careful, and extremely sensitive job — any wrong move could cost the lives of those who survived the strike,” the animal rescuers noted.
Condition of the Rescued Cats and Further Care
Three of the rescued cats were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity. The owners of the animals have already been found — they will pick up their pets after the treatment is completed. One more, the fourth cat, could not be identified; however, it did not have serious injuries and did not require hospitalization. This cat is currently under the care of the organization Cats on Mars.
