Countries with heightened danger for Ukrainians

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, travel is not recommended to the following states: Israel, Iran, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria. The agency emphasizes that travel to these countries should only occur after the situation in the region stabilizes.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that citizens of Ukraine refrain from traveling to the State of Israel, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Iraq, the Lebanese Republic, and the Syrian Arab Republic until the situation stabilizes.”

Diplomats also urge Ukrainians who are already in the mentioned countries to adhere to heightened security measures. In particular, it is necessary to be especially vigilant, follow local authorities’ announcements, always carry identification documents, and carefully follow all recommendations from security agencies.

Escalation of the conflict between Israel and Iran

On the night of June 13, Israel launched a large-scale attack on Iranian territory. The Israeli Air Force struck uranium enrichment facilities in the cities of Natanz and Fordow, as well as missile bases in Kermanshah and Khorramabad. Major Iranian cities, including Tehran, Isfahan, and Tabriz, were also targeted.

According to Iranian media reports, high-ranking officials were killed as a result of the Israeli strikes, including the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hossein Salami, the chief of staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Mohammad Bagheri, and renowned physicist Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi.

Following the escalation of the conflict, it became known that Iran had refused to participate in nuclear negotiations with the United States, which were scheduled to take place in the Sultanate of Oman on June 15.

In case of emergencies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises Ukrainians to contact the nearest diplomatic missions of Ukraine or call the ministry’s hotline.
