NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will organize a meeting on December 8 with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, as well as with European Council President António Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. The meeting will take place at the NATO Secretary General’s residence in Brussels.

According to the press service of the North Atlantic Alliance, the event will be held in a closed format without communication with journalists. The main objective of the meeting will be to discuss current issues of European security and support for Ukraine amid ongoing Russian aggression.
“Mr. Mark Rutte will host Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, European Council President António Costa, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen at his official residence in Brussels,” the announcement states.
The chief spokesperson for the European Commission, Paola Pinho, did not disclose details of the meeting’s agenda but emphasized that its topics are closely related to ongoing international discussions regarding peace and security in Ukraine.
International Diplomacy Surrounding Ukraine
In parallel with the Brussels negotiations, information has emerged that Ukrainian President’s advisor Dmytro Lytvyn has arrived in London. According to media reports, negotiations involving Volodymyr Zelensky, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz are also planned in the British capital.
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that consultations involving the Ukrainian leader will take place in London, indicating intense international diplomatic activity aimed at supporting Ukraine and coordinating actions among allies in response to security challenges.
