Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga emphasized that long-range strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine play a key role in compelling the Russian Federation to end the war. According to him, it is the enhancement of capabilities in this area that allows for a reduction in the duration of hostilities.

Growth of Ukrainian Potential and Call to Partners
Sybiga noted that Ukraine’s own potential in the production of long-range weapons is growing rapidly. He highlighted the increase in the number of successful strikes on legitimate military targets within the territory of the Russian Federation, which occur weekly. The diplomat characterized these strikes as a carefully planned and precise campaign aimed at weakening Russia’s military capabilities and accelerating the end of the war.
Need for Investment and the Future of the Defense Industry
The minister stressed that Ukraine’s long-range arsenal will become a powerful deterrent factor and a guarantee of protection against new attempts at aggression from the Russian Federation in the future. He called on international partners to increase investments in arms production in Ukraine and to initiate new joint defense projects. In his opinion, such cooperation creates advantageous opportunities for strengthening the defense potential of partner countries in the future.
“We have the technologies and capabilities to produce more weapons, but we need more investment to scale it up. I urge partners to increase their contributions. Build in Ukraine and build together with Ukraine. Start new joint projects. This is a two-way street, as those who help Ukraine now gain new opportunities for their own defense potential in the future,” argued Sybiga.
Andriy Sybiga also emphasized that the war initiated by Russia is “returning to where it came from,” and expressed the belief that the sooner this is realized in the Kremlin, the closer the end of hostilities will be.
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced at the end of October that the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Headquarters discussed options for long-range sanctions against the Russian Federation. According to him, the oil refining industry of the Russian Federation has already suffered significantly due to the war and will incur even greater losses.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as the regions it occupies, frequently experience shelling and drone attacks. Ukrainian authorities emphasize that strikes are carried out exclusively on military objects of the Russian Federation, aimed at weakening rear bases and reducing the offensive potential of the aggressor.
