Britain is providing Ukraine with a record number of drones
According to John Healey, analysis from the Ukrainian side indicates record losses for Russia in March: over 35,000 military personnel. The minister emphasized that 96% of these losses occurred due to the use of drones, which are currently determining the course of the war and could become a decisive factor in the future.
In this context, the United Kingdom announced the transfer of the largest drone assistance package of the year to Ukraine—over 120,000 new drones, which will enhance the defensive capabilities of Ukrainian forces.
“We remember our duty to Ukraine. We recognize that Russian aggression is escalating, and we remain committed to our mission,” said Healey.
Additional defense resources and financial support
In addition to drones, Britain is providing Ukraine with thousands of missiles for air defense and hundreds of thousands of artillery shells. According to Healey, the United Kingdom remains committed to supporting Ukraine, despite attempts by the Kremlin to convince the world that Ukrainians have no choice but to surrender.
At the end of March, the British government also announced an additional allocation of 100 million pounds sterling to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense system. European Commissioner for Defense Andrius Kubilius noted that for the effective operation of the Patriot systems, Ukraine needs about two thousand missiles per year.
John Healey emphasized that Ukraine continues to carry out successful counterattacks along the entire front line, and the international community will continue to support its fight for independence.
