In the past day, Russian forces carried out 553 strikes on thirteen settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. Authorities received 45 reports from residents regarding the destruction of residential houses, apartments, outbuildings, cars, and infrastructure facilities.

Nature of the Attacks and Their Legal Assessment

Russian military regularly employs various types of weaponry to shell Ukrainian regions, including strike drones, missiles, aerial bombs, and multiple launch rocket systems. The Russian leadership denies accusations of targeted strikes on civilian objects; however, the facts indicate numerous destructions of hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy facilities, and water supply systems.

The Ukrainian authorities, together with international organizations, classify these actions as war crimes of the Russian Federation, emphasizing the deliberate nature of the attacks against the civilian population.
