Trump’s Statement on Peace and Economic Prospects

“A great day for peace around the world! Iran wants this to happen, enough is enough! Just like everyone else! The United States of America will assist with traffic accumulation in the Strait of Hormuz”

The American leader emphasized that many “positive changes” are expected ahead, which will open new economic opportunities for Iran. According to him, the country will be able to begin the process of restoring its own economy and earn significant funds through new cooperation prospects.

Trump added that the U.S. will be actively involved in supplying various products and monitoring the situation in the region to ensure compliance with the agreements and stability in the Strait of Hormuz.

Details of the Ceasefire and Its Consequences

It has been officially confirmed that the U.S. has agreed to a two-week ceasefire, during which the parties plan to negotiate a comprehensive peace agreement. The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also confirmed the agreement on the ceasefire.

The Iranian side guaranteed safe passage for vessels through the Strait of Hormuz during the ceasefire. This decision is significant for the global energy market, as approximately 20 million barrels of oil and substantial volumes of liquefied gas—up to one-fifth of the world’s maritime oil exports—are transported through the strait daily.

The first in-person meeting between U.S. and Iranian representatives regarding the peace agreement is scheduled for Friday, April 10, in Islamabad. This will be the first direct negotiations since the beginning of the military conflict.

It is worth noting that the joint operation of the U.S. and Israel against Iran, which began on February 28, resulted in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several other high-ranking officials of the Iranian regime. In response, Iran launched missile and drone strikes not only against Israel and American facilities in the region but also against neighboring countries that Tehran considers U.S. allies.

Following the outbreak of hostilities, Iran effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz, which triggered a sharp rise in oil prices on global markets and significantly impacted the energy security of many countries.
