Trump Does Not Consider Supplying Tomahawk Missiles to Ukraine, But May Change His Position

U.S. President Donald Trump once again refused to consider the possibility of transferring Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. He made this statement during a conversation with journalists aboard Air Force One.

Trump’s Position on Military Aid

When asked about the possibility of providing modern cruise missiles to Ukraine, Trump replied:

“No, not really”

and emphasized that this option is not currently under consideration. At the same time, he noted that he may change his mind on this issue in the future.

Prospects for Ukraine

Previously, Trump hinted at the likelihood of providing Ukraine with Tomahawks, but recently his position has become more reserved. Such statements from the American president may diminish Kyiv’s hopes of receiving this long-range weapon.

For over a year, Ukraine has been appealing to Western partners for long-range weaponry to enhance its defense capabilities. Meanwhile, Ukrainian specialists are working on developing their own models — the “Palyanytsya” and “Flamingo” systems. However, these developments currently lack the specifications that could match the power and effectiveness of American Tomahawks.
