The Pokrovsk direction remains the epicenter of hostilities

In the past day, on October 18, 223 combat clashes were recorded at the front, indicating an increase in the intensity of hostilities in key areas.
Overview of the Situation in Key Frontline Directions
In the North-Slovyansk and Kursk directions, three clashes occurred over the past day. The enemy conducted 13 airstrikes, using 29 guided bombs, and carried out 162 shellings of Ukrainian positions and settlements, eight of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South-Slovyansk direction, Russian troops launched eight assaults near Odradny, Kam’yanka, and Bologivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 attacks in the areas of Stepova Novoselivka, Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, as well as near Mala Shapkivka and Pishchane.
The Lyman direction experienced four attacks from the occupiers in the areas of Novo Myr, Seredne, and Zarichne.
In the Slovyansk direction, the enemy made eight attempts to break through near Yampol, Dronivka, and Vyimka.
The Kramatorsk direction saw two combat clashes near Orikhovo-Vasylivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian troops stormed Ukrainian positions 13 times in the areas of Shcherbynivka, Pleshiyivka, and Rusyn Yar.
Pokrovsk Direction: Most Intense Combat Actions
The highest number of battles was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction — here, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 47 assault and offensive actions by the enemy near Volodymyrivka, Rodynske, Myroliubivka, Novoekonomichne, Chervonyi Lyman, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Zviriv, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, and Kotliarivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the occupiers attacked Ukrainian positions 16 times in the areas of Sosnivka, Voronoe, Novomykolaivka, Novohryhorivka, and Malynivka.
In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions, while in the Orikhiv direction, they attempted to break through near Stepove twice.
In the Dnipro direction, Russian troops attempted to advance towards the Antonivsky Bridge three times but were unsuccessful.
No signs of the enemy creating offensive groupings were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
The total losses of Russian occupiers on October 18 amounted to 1,000 personnel, one tank, three armored fighting vehicles, 45 artillery systems, two multiple launch rocket systems, 444 operational-tactical level drones, and 126 units of automotive equipment.
