VDNG to Install Solar Panels on Roofs for Backup Power

The National Exhibition Complex “ExpoCenter of Ukraine” plans to install solar panels for backup electricity supply to its buildings. To implement this project, the institution has announced a tender worth nearly 16 million hryvnias.

Tender for the Installation of Solar Power Stations

According to information posted on the official electronic procurement portal Prozorro, there are plans to install a modern solar power station system on the roofs of the VDNG buildings. The project includes the installation of two types of equipment: grid-connected panels that connect to the centralized power grid, and autonomous systems with batteries for energy storage.

Plans and Scope of Installation

As part of the tender, it is planned to purchase and install over 1,200 solar power station elements. The implementation of this large-scale project is expected to take five years. This step aims to enhance the energy independence of the complex and ensure stable backup power in case of electricity outages.
