The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has made the decision to extend the martial law regime and general mobilization for another 90 days — until November 5, 2025.
Vote Count and Voting Details
The relevant bill “On Approval of the Decree of the President of Ukraine ‘On Extending the Duration of Martial Law in Ukraine'” (No. 13471) was supported by 320 members of parliament, while only one voted against it. Another law — “On Approval of the Decree of the President of Ukraine ‘On Extending the Duration of General Mobilization'” (No. 13472) — received support from 304 deputies.
Extension of the Special Period
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine, this marks the sixteenth extension of martial law and mobilization. Both decisions are aimed at ensuring the country’s defense capability and responding to the challenges of wartime.
The martial law and general mobilization have been extended for 90 days, until November 5, 2025. At the same time, Yaroslav Zheleznyak clarified that the legislative act “On Approval of the Decree of the President of Ukraine ‘On Extending the Duration of Martial Law in Ukraine'” (No. 13471) was supported by 320 deputies, with one voting against.
Thus, the Ukrainian authorities once again emphasize the necessity of maintaining a special legal regime in the context of ongoing military aggression.
