On Wednesday, December 24, a sharp drop in temperature is expected in the capital and Kyiv region. According to meteorologists, the first significant frost will arrive in the region on this day, and nighttime weather will be accompanied by snowfall.
Weather Conditions: Frost and Snow
“In Kyiv and the region – overcast with clearings. At night – light snow in places, during the day – no precipitation. Wind – northeast, 5-10 m/s,” forecasters warned.
Temperature readings in the region at night will range from -7 to -12 degrees, while during the day, temperatures are expected to be between -1 and -6 degrees. In Kyiv, nighttime temperatures will drop to -10°, and during the day, they will decrease to -4 to -6°.

As of this morning, the air temperature in the capital was recorded at -7° with a relative humidity of 81% and atmospheric pressure of 757 mmHg. Thus, residents of Kyiv and the surrounding area should prepare for significant cooling and possible precipitation during the night before Christmas.
