Unforgettable Adventures and New Locations of the “Winter Country”

This year, the winter season at the National Complex “Expo Center of Ukraine” (VDNH) will start earlier – on November 29. The organizers have prepared a special program for residents and guests of the capital: a large illuminated photo zone and an alley of Christmas trees will await visitors at the main entrance, creating the effect of a “light passage” into a magical space. The festive atmosphere will be enhanced by the aromas of cinnamon and mulled wine, themed flash mobs by snowmen, festive music, and the main Christmas tree.

“On November 29, the eleventh season of one of the favorite projects of Ukrainians — ‘Winter Country’ — will start at the National Complex ‘Expo Center of Ukraine,'” the announcement states.

This year’s main attraction will be an ice rink vying for the title of the largest in Ukraine: its area will exceed 3,000 square meters. In the center of the ice arena, a fairy-tale tower with a clock will appear, alongside a New Year’s train that will become one of the main photo zones of the season. Another symbolic clock counting down to the holidays will be installed at the main pavilion of the complex.

Magical Decorations, Unconventional Snow, and Safety for All

This year, the “Santa’s Residence” will move to Pavilion No. 1, where visitors will be greeted by enchanting decorations, a New Year’s mailbox for wish letters, and Santa himself with his elf helpers. Nearby, the “Christmas Dream Factory” will operate, where children can make their own Christmas ornaments and make wishes together with the magical elves.

One of the most interesting innovations will be a special snow zone, where snow will be available regardless of the weather. Here, visitors can build snowmen, create snow angels, and participate in snow battles. Snowy decorations will also adorn the roofs of pavilions and market stalls, allowing everyone to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of a true winter celebration under any conditions.

New themed photo zones will appear in the “Greenhouse of Wonders,” while “Shumiland” will invite visitors into a fantastic world of dinosaurs and magical creatures, accessible by walking along illuminated arches and paths.

In the central square, the winter slide, Ferris wheel, bright carousel, and extreme attractions will traditionally operate. For the convenience of guests, the Northern Express with an audio tour will travel around the VDNH territory.

Throughout the season, about 20 themed locations will be open in the “Winter Country,” operating daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. For the comfort and safety of visitors, warm rest areas and shelters will be provided in case of air alerts. In the event of a power outage, all areas of VDNH will operate on their own generators, and the alleys will remain illuminated thanks to energy-efficient LED lighting.
