“Putin is not showing that he wants to stop the war,” he said at the beginning of the bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer.

Zelensky thanked the United Kingdom for its ongoing support of Ukraine, particularly highlighting the importance of international assistance in the current situation. According to him, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine has not been left alone, and this support is now critically necessary.

Increased Attacks by Russia on Energy Infrastructure

Recently, Russia has intensified strikes on energy facilities and gas infrastructure in Ukraine. This is especially dangerous during the heating season, when providing energy resources to the population is vital. Due to the occupiers’ attacks, most regions of the country are currently experiencing scheduled power outages from 07:00 to 23:00.

State Support for the Energy Sector

To prepare for winter and ensure the stable operation of the energy system, the Ukrainian government has allocated 8.4 billion hryvnias from the state budget reserve fund. These funds have been received by the company “Naftogaz of Ukraine” for the purchase of imported natural gas, which is expected to facilitate uninterrupted heating supply and reduce the risks of man-made emergencies. As noted in the Cabinet of Ministers, the decision made will minimize disruptions in heating supply and support energy stability in the country.
