Coordination of Actions and Support from Partners
Zelensky emphasized the importance of continued cooperation with the United Kingdom and thanked the British public for their support of Ukraine. The leaders agreed to maintain close contact to achieve sustainable peace.
The President also reported that advisors – representatives from Ukraine, the United States, and the E3 countries, which include the United Kingdom, France, and Germany – will begin their work in Switzerland very soon.
“Tomorrow, advisors – representatives from Ukraine, the United States of America, and the E3 format, namely: the United Kingdom, France, and Germany – will be working in Switzerland,” the president emphasized.
According to Zelensky, most European leaders have expressed their readiness to join the peace process and support Ukraine in its efforts to end the war. The President stressed that consultations on peace initiatives are ongoing at various levels, and the active position of each country plays a crucial role in achieving genuine and lasting peace.
Position of the U.S., Europe, and the Kremlin on the Peace Plan
A particular focus of the conversation was the discussion of the peace plan developed by the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump. The document, according to reports from Western media, includes, among other things, a proposal to halve the size of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and effectively transfer control over Donbas. At the same time, Ukraine and European states were not involved in the development of this plan, and representatives from Russia participated in the process.
Media reports also indicate that the Trump administration is pressuring Ukraine, hoping that Kyiv will agree to accept these terms in the coming days.
Volodymyr Zelensky has already received a copy of the document and expressed readiness for further cooperation with the U.S. on this issue. The President’s Office emphasized the agreement with Washington to work on specific points of the plan to ensure a dignified end to the war for Ukraine.
The Kremlin has stated its readiness to negotiate a ceasefire, but no official peace plan is currently being discussed.
