Support from Partners and the Need for Coordinated Action
In his conversation with Keir Starmer, Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the importance of support from the UK, the US, and other partners in the matter of ending the war. The President stressed the shared vision of the necessity for real peace for Ukraine and condemned Russia’s attempts to reduce negotiations to discussions of the “impossible.” He noted that maximum coordination of actions with international allies is needed to achieve concrete solutions.
“I am grateful for the support. We equally see the necessity for truly sustainable peace for Ukraine and the danger of the Russian plan to reduce everything to discussions of the impossible. Clear steps are needed, and maximum coordination with our partners. We appreciate the commitment of Britain, the United States, and all partners to end the war,” Zelensky stated.
In a conversation with Emmanuel Macron, Zelensky confirmed the readiness of Ukraine, France, and other partners for productive joint work towards establishing real peace. The Ukrainian leader emphasized the need to build reliable security mechanisms for Ukraine and Europe, as well as the importance of preventing new attempts at deception by the Russian Federation.
Anticipated Meeting of US and Russian Leaders
