Zelensky Visits Oslo to Sign Security Document with Norway

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Oslo, the capital of Norway, on the evening of April 14. The head of state announced a series of important negotiations and the signing of a bilateral document aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s security.

Key Meetings and Diplomatic Agenda

During the visit to Oslo, negotiations are scheduled with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, as well as meetings with Crown Prince Haakon and representatives of the Norwegian Parliament. Zelensky emphasized that these diplomatic contacts are aimed at protecting the lives of Ukrainians and bringing about real peace with guarantees for Ukraine.

Results of the Visit to Berlin and New Support Package

Earlier that same day, Volodymyr Zelensky was in Berlin, where he held talks with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and participated in Ukrainian-German intergovernmental consultations. Following the meetings, Ukraine and Germany agreed on a large-scale four billion euro cooperation package. This package includes strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, developing long-range capabilities, and joint production of drones, as reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
