The National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” has once again set a record in Ukraine.

This is reported by Kyiv24

Record for Antenna Production in One Day

Students and staff of KPI, in collaboration with the public organization “Operators of Amateur Radio Stations of Ukraine” (UARO), manufactured 320 Flower Pot coaxial antennas in just one day. The production was based on the author’s guide by Leonid Pavlyuchenko — a KPI student, head of UARO, and active military member.

In addition to the Flower Pot antennas, volunteers also created 398 extended antennas for radios and 1100 trench candles within 24 hours. The efforts were combined by 60 volunteers who worked even under challenging conditions, including without electricity.

“60 volunteers worked for 8.5 hours without light, cutting, twisting, bending, soldering, pouring, and even working in the dark with thoughts of those who are holding the front line.”

Importance of Antennas for Defenders

The 320 Flower Pot antennas set a national record for the number of devices produced in 24 hours, as confirmed by representatives of the National Register of Records of Ukraine.

Such antennas are crucial for Ukrainian defenders on the front lines. They provide stable radio communication both on the battlefield and in bunkers, are cost-effective, highly efficient, and easy to manufacture. It is initiatives like these that enhance the level of supply of modern communication means to the Ukrainian military.
