Prospects for Ukraine and key tasks
According to Vasylevska-Smahliuk, Zelensky emphasized that the possibility of ending the hot phase of hostilities by November 2026 is being considered, provided that Ukraine receives the necessary security guarantees. The MP also pointed out that Ukraine currently has a certain advantage on the front, which needs to be utilized to achieve the main goal — preventing Russia from resuming the offensive after a short pause or committing new aggression.
“If they start leaking to Telegram channels, I will tell it myself. The meeting of the faction with the president has ended. A significant portion of the time was devoted to the prospect of ending the hot phase of the war. The president noted that by November, the possibility is being considered, provided security guarantees are given, to end the hot phase.”
Discussions in factions and reactions from deputies
During the meeting, Zelensky, along with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and representatives of the mono-majority, discussed the current priorities of the parliament for the near future, but the president did not provide additional details in his video address.
Deputy from the “Voice” faction Yaroslav Zheleznyak also confirmed that during the meeting, the president mentioned another theoretical date for the end of the war — November 2026 — however, according to him, most of those present approached this information with caution, considering that similar predictions had been made before but did not come true.
Last week, Zelensky had already met with representatives of the “Servant of the People” faction, where the parties discussed key issues on the agenda of the Verkhovna Rada and current challenges for the country.
