In the early hours of August 19, a significant fire broke out in the Solomianskyi district of the capital. The flames engulfed a one-story non-residential building of a former entertainment center located on Harnatna Street. Enhanced units of firefighters were deployed to extinguish the blaze.

Details of the Incident and Firefighters’ Efforts

According to the fire and rescue service, the alarm about the fire was received at 01:18 by the operational coordination center of the State Emergency Service of Kyiv. At the scene, it was determined that the flames had engulfed the outdoor terrace and the exterior wall cladding of the venue over an area of approximately 100 square meters.

A total of 23 State Emergency Service employees and five units of specialized equipment were involved in the firefighting efforts. Thanks to the coordinated actions of the rescuers, the fire was promptly localized and extinguished, preventing its spread to other buildings.

The Causes of the Fire are Being Investigated by Law Enforcement

According to the rescuers, no one was injured as a result of the incident. Currently, law enforcement officials are working at the scene to determine the causes of the fire.

“On August 19 at 01:18, the operational coordination center of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv received a report of a fire in a one-story non-residential building of a defunct entertainment venue on Harnatna Street,” the statement said.
