Massive Attack on Kyiv: Seven Districts of the Capital Suffered Damage from Drones

On the night of May 10, Kyiv experienced a large-scale attack by enemy drones. The air raid alert lasted from 00:02 to 05:10. During this time, the enemy carried out systematic strikes on the city’s civilian infrastructure.

Scale of Destruction in the Capital’s Districts

As a result of the attack, seven districts of Kyiv were affected. In the Darnytskyi district, at least ten impact locations were recorded, including fires in non-residential buildings, damage to residential areas, and damage to a garage cooperative. A forest strip in the area also caught fire.

The Obolonskyi district suffered significant damage at nine locations. Office buildings, a two-story house, a bank, and a sanatorium were affected. Numerous residential buildings have shattered windows. Aviation was involved in extinguishing fires at warehouses.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, nine impact sites were recorded, including residential buildings, a business center, and shopping rows. The Holosiivskyi district was affected at four locations, including the territory of a religious organization and damage to water supply pipes.

“A difficult day lies ahead. Perhaps not just one. It will take time to eliminate the consequences, but the city is operational, all services are on site, and they are responding promptly,” noted the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko.

Consequences of the Night Attack

In the Desnianskyi district, damage to a vehicle and debris from downed drones were recorded. The Podilskyi district was affected at two locations, where downed targets fell in open areas and in zones of non-residential development.

In the Solomianskyi district, the roof of a multi-story building and a private house were damaged. According to city authorities, four Kyiv residents were injured as a result of the attack. The most significant damage was inflicted on civilian infrastructure facilities.
