Opening of the Meeting and Key Participants
The official opening of the meeting will take place at 5:15 PM Kyiv time. During the initial public statements, UK Defense Minister John Healey, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, and Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal will speak. The organizers have not planned a press conference following the event.
Priorities and Previous Meetings
The ‘Ramstein’ format is a key platform for international coordination of military support, involving Ukraine’s allies from various continents. The previous meeting of the group, chaired by Germany and the UK in July, also took place online.
During the July meeting, Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi emphasized that Ukraine’s greatest needs are air defense systems and their ammunition.
“The most critical need for Ukraine is the procurement of air defense systems and their ammunition,” the Ukrainian representatives stated at that time.
