U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the U.S. may consider the possibility of selling Patriot missile systems to Ukraine, which are necessary to counter missile attacks from Russia. He made this announcement during a press conference following talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the NATO summit in The Hague.

Zelensky and Trump’s Meeting: Key Cooperation Issues
According to Donald Trump, the issue of transferring Patriot systems remains open, as such complexes are in short supply even for the needs of America itself and its other allies.
“We will see if we can provide them (the Patriot systems – ed.). You know, they are very hard to get. We need them too. We supply them to Israel. And they are incredibly effective, one hundred percent effective,” said the head of the American state.
Trump also noted the constructive nature of the meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky, emphasizing that the Ukrainian leader is eager for a swift end to the war. He added that he intends to discuss this issue with Russian President Vladimir Putin to clarify the chances of achieving peace.
Focus on Peace and Security
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on social media about a “lengthy and substantive meeting” with Donald Trump, during which all important areas of cooperation were discussed. According to him, the parties talked about ways to achieve a ceasefire, ensure genuine peace, and protect the Ukrainian people.
The meeting between the leaders of Ukraine and the U.S. lasted 50 minutes, as reported by the spokesperson for the President of Ukraine. It is also known that earlier this month, another meeting between Zelensky and Trump was planned during the G7 summit in Canada, but it did not take place due to the early departure of the American president.
