Which Gas Stations Were Closed and Why
The Kyiv City District Administrative Court has decided to temporarily suspend the operation of two gas stations in Kyiv. These gas stations are located at 17/21 Bahhovutivska Street in the Shevchenkivskyi district and at 1 Promyslova Street in the Holosiivskyi district.
According to information from the State Environmental Inspection of the Capital District, significant violations were found during inspections at these facilities. The main violation was that the gas station owners did not have the necessary project documentation for the environmental impact assessment (EIA), which is a mandatory requirement for such facilities.
“The court granted the lawsuit of the State Environmental Inspection of the Capital District regarding the application of response measures — the temporary suspension of the operation of two gas stations in Kyiv.”
Court Decision and Next Steps
The lawsuit to temporarily halt the operation of these gas stations was filed by the State Environmental Inspection of the Capital District. The inspection demanded that the operation of the facilities be suspended until the owners obtain an official environmental impact assessment conclusion.
The Kyiv City District Administrative Court fully supported the position of the inspection and granted the lawsuit in full. Thus, the operation of the mentioned gas stations in Kyiv will remain suspended until all requirements of environmental legislation are met.
