War in a Day: Situation at the Front and Russian Losses

Over the past day, military forces in eastern Ukraine recorded an active combat situation with numerous clashes and offensive operations by Russian occupiers. On various fronts, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled enemy assaults and maintained control of the situation at the front, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Main Combat Actions and Directions

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops attempted to seize positions of Ukrainian units six times in the areas of Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, and Stroyivka. At the same time, in the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy attacks. In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions 22 times, trying to advance near the settlements of Tverdokhlibove, Kopanky, Ridkodub, Hrekivka, Lypove, Torske, as well as in the directions of Karpivka, Olhivka, Zeleny Dolyna, and Hryhorivka.

In the Siversky direction, in the areas of Verkhnokamianske and Bilohorivka, the enemy launched six attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops. In the Kramatorsk direction, nine clashes were recorded near Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora, Kurdyumivka, and Stupochky. Meanwhile, in the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions 11 times in the areas of Toretsk, Petrivka, Shcherbynivka, Ozyarivka, Diliyivka, and Druzhba.

Shelled Areas and Losses

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian military forces stopped 65 assaults, while in the Novopavlivsk direction, they halted 24. In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy assaults. In the Kursk direction, 18 clashes occurred. Over the day, Russian occupier losses amounted to over 1,000 personnel, with one tank, five armored fighting vehicles, 29 artillery systems, 118 drones, and 88 vehicles destroyed.

“Yesterday, Russian losses amounted to 1,040 personnel. Ukrainian warriors also neutralized one tank, five armored fighting vehicles, 29 artillery systems, 118 operational-tactical level drones, and 88 vehicles,” reports the General Staff.
