American Congressman from the Republican Party Joe Wilson sharply reacted to the “Easter ceasefire” announced by Russian leader Vladimir Putin. According to him, Moscow can resume military actions at any moment, as the ceasefire is merely an imitation, not a genuine gesture of peace.

On April 9, the Russian Kremlin officially announced the start of the “Easter ceasefire.” According to Vladimir Putin, Russian troops will cease hostilities from 6:00 PM on April 19 until 12:00 AM on April 21. He added that the military should be prepared for possible violations of the ceasefire regime.
The next day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that Russian troops were not adhering to the agreements and continued hostilities, violating the ceasefire declared by the Russian leader.
