Detective of NABU Magamedrasulov reported pressure and ‘offers’ during his time in custody

Магамедрасулов про тиск і «пропозиції» в СІЗО

Detective of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine Ruslan Magamedrasulov reported that he had been under systematic pressure for five months, which affected not only him personally but also his family and close associates.

This is reported by Kyiv24

Systematic pressure and attempts at influence

Magamedrasulov emphasized that the pressure was constant, particularly through searches and demands to provide testimony against him. According to him, both he and his relatives, friends, and even people from his contact list were under pressure. Some of these individuals agreed to cooperate, while others refused and received suspicion, including Memeshev Yusuf, who is referred to as a key witness in this case.

“I was worked on for all five months: my entire family, me, my surroundings, my contact list. They searched constantly, demanding I provide testimony against myself. Some went along with communication because they were really pressured. Some did not, refused, and received suspicion, like Memeshev Yusuf (one of the key witnesses in the detective’s case – ed.). So this did not end on July 21 (the day of mass searches of Bureau employees, including Ruslan Magamedrasulov – ed.). I was constantly worked on for five months, including in custody,” the detective noted.

Charges and possible reasons for persecution

The detective also shared that while in custody, he received various “offers” and “arrangements” aimed at silencing him and limiting communication after his release. According to him, all these offers were rejected, and communication in custody was conducted with certain individuals whom he identifies as potential representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine.

In July 2025, SBU employees detained Magamedrasulov along with his father, accusing them of attempting to illegally sell technical hemp to Russia. At the same time, the appellate court on December 4 decided to release Ruslan Magamedrasulov from custody, while earlier the court assigned his father, Sentyabr, a preventive measure in the form of night house arrest.

Ruslan Magamedrasulov associates his criminal prosecution with his professional activities, as he was investigating former business partner of President Volodymyr Zelensky, Timur Mindich, and others as part of the “Midas” operation. The so-called “Mindich tapes” disclosed by NABU became evidence of a large-scale corruption scheme in the company “Energoatom.”

Meanwhile, the Security Service of Ukraine claims that the arrest of Magamedrasulov and his father was not politically motivated.
