An extraordinary incident occurred in the capital’s metro: a young man in a state of intoxication started a conflict with passengers, initiated a fight, and used tear gas in the train carriage.

Incident at Taras Shevchenko Station
According to law enforcement, the incident took place around 10:20 PM in the carriage of the “blue” line train at Taras Shevchenko metro station. The hooligan turned out to be a 19-year-old resident of Kyiv, who was intoxicated and behaving aggressively. He was harassing other passengers, and after receiving a warning from one of them, he provoked a fight and sprayed irritant gas directly in the face of a man.
Detention and Criminal Responsibility
After the incident, law enforcement quickly identified the perpetrator and detained him. He is currently being prepared for a notice of suspicion for committing hooligan acts. This charge carries a penalty of up to seven years in prison.
