Meteorologists warn of a sharp deterioration in weather conditions in Kyiv and the Kyiv region on August 22.

On Friday, August 22, residents of Kyiv and the region should be prepared for significant changes in the weather. According to experts’ forecasts, a drop in temperature, rain, and thunderstorms are expected.
Thunderstorms, Rain, and Gusts: Forecast Details
“In Kyiv and the region — cloudy with clearings, moderate rain, during the day — with thunderstorms, in some areas — significant rainfall. The wind will be south-western at 7-12 m/s, and in Kyiv region during the day — hail and gusts of 15-20 m/s are possible,” warned meteorologists.
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, cloudy weather with clearings is forecasted for the region. Throughout the day, moderate rain will fall, with significant precipitation possible in some areas. Thunderstorms are expected during the day, and in certain areas of the Kyiv region, hail and gusts of wind up to 15-20 m/s may occur.
Air Temperature and Atmospheric Conditions
At night, the temperature in the region will range from 15-20°C, while during the day, thermometers will rise to 20-25°C. In Kyiv, night temperatures are forecasted to be around 17°C, and during the day, the air will warm up to 23°C.
As of the morning, the temperature recorded in the capital was 17°C, with a relative humidity of 93%, and atmospheric pressure at 740 mm of mercury.
