A tragedy occurred in the Dnipro District of Kyiv — during a fire in a high-rise residential building, two people lost their lives.

Details of the Fire on Enthusiasts Street
On the evening of August 12, a fire broke out in one of the apartments on the seventh floor of a nine-story building on Enthusiasts Street in the Dnipro District of the capital. The flames spread quickly, also engulfing the balcony on the eighth floor.
“On August 12 at 20:12, a report was received at the operational coordination center of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv about a fire in a high-rise building on Enthusiasts Street in the Dnipro District of the capital,” the statement reads.
Consequences and Rescue Operations
During the firefighting efforts, emergency service personnel discovered the bodies of a man and a woman in the apartment, showing no signs of life. A total of 15 rescuers and four units of firefighting equipment were involved in extinguishing the flames.
Currently, law enforcement agencies are investigating the causes of the fire and the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Final conclusions will be published after the investigative actions and examinations are completed.
