The Podil District Court of Kyiv has sentenced a foreigner to 8 years in prison with property confiscation for committing a brazen robbery at a store located on Andriyivskyy Descent. This came after the swift and effective work of the Kyiv police, who were able to identify and apprehend the criminal in less than an hour after the crime.

Circumstances of the Crime and Arrest
According to law enforcement, at the end of December last year, the foreigner burst into the retail establishment. Threatening a 61-year-old saleswoman with a gun, he used a crowbar to break into the cash register and seized the money. After the crime, the attacker fled the scene with the proceeds. Police operatives were able to quickly locate and arrest the suspect.

Profile of the Criminal
The criminal turned out to be a 30-year-old foreigner who had been living in Kyiv since September 2024. Investigators established his involvement in the crime and seized material evidence confirming his participation in the attack.
