In the capital, law enforcement officers arrested a 23-year-old man who brutally beat a woman in a store, breaking her jaw.

Details of the Queue Conflict
The incident occurred in the Dnipro district of Kyiv. According to preliminary information, a 27-year-old woman from Kyiv was standing in line at the checkout in one of the stores. At that moment, a young man approached the cashier, attempting to skip the line and make purchases without waiting.
The woman made a remark to him about violating the order. In response, the man began to beat her brutally, delivering several blows to her face and body. As a result of the attack, the victim fell to the floor, but the aggressor continued to beat her and then hurriedly left the scene.
“The 27-year-old local resident was standing in line at the checkout when one of the visitors approached the cashier and tried to make purchases, bypassing the queue. The woman remarked to the man, who then attacked her with his fists, hitting her several times in the face and body. From the injuries sustained, the victim fell, but the attacker continued to beat her before fleeing,” the report states.
Condition of the Victim and Case Development
The injured woman was hospitalized. Following an examination, she was diagnosed with multiple bruises and a broken jaw. The perpetrator was quickly identified and arrested. During the arrest, law enforcement officers determined that he was in a state of intoxication.
The man has been charged under Part 1 of Article 122 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – intentional moderate bodily harm. The penalty for this article provides for imprisonment of up to three years. Currently, a pre-trial investigation is underway.
