The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports a decrease in the intensity of hostilities on the front over the past day, although the situation remains tense.
Most Battles Occurred in the Pokrovsk and Lyman Directions
Over the past day, there were more than 150 combat engagements, primarily in the Pokrovsk and Lyman directions. According to the General Staff, Ukrainian forces eliminated approximately 1,040 Russian occupiers, as well as 3 tanks, 9 armored fighting vehicles, 53 artillery systems, and multiple rocket launchers. Additionally, 270 operational-tactical level drones, 23 cruise missiles, and 121 units of automotive and special equipment, including fuel tankers, were neutralized.
“The enemy launched four missile strikes and 64 airstrikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, using 31 missiles and dropping 112 guided aerial bombs. Furthermore, they conducted 5,706 shellings, including 117 from multiple rocket launchers, and deployed 3,857 kamikaze drones,” the General Staff reported.
Operational Situation in Key Directions
- In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, 21 combat engagements were recorded.
- Southern Slobozhansky direction: Ukrainian defense forces repelled six attacks.
- Kupiansk direction: four combat engagements occurred.
- Lyman direction: the enemy attacked 22 times.
- Seversky and Kramatorsk directions: Ukrainian defenders repelled three assaults in each direction.
- Toretsk direction: the enemy conducted nine attacks.
- Pokrovsk direction: our forces halted 50 enemy assaults near 17 populated areas.
- Novopavlivsk direction: the enemy attempted to breach the defense 16 times.
- Huliaipole direction: one enemy attack took place.
- Orikhiv direction: Ukrainian Armed Forces units repelled one breakthrough attempt.
- Dniprovsk direction: six combat engagements occurred.
Overall, despite a slight decrease in the intensity of attacks, the situation on the front remains complex, and Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the pressure of the occupiers in key directions.
