In the past day, the intensity of combat operations along the front line in Ukraine has somewhat decreased; however, shelling and attacks by Russian troops continue in various directions. On December 27, 160 combat clashes were recorded, and the losses of the occupiers reached significant levels.
Situation on Key Front Directions
In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders managed to repel one enemy attack. The Russians carried out one airstrike using three guided bombs and conducted 135 shellings.
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attempted to break through the defense near settlements such as Starytsia, Vovchansk, Prylipka, and also moved towards Lyman and Hryhorivka, making seven attack attempts.
The Kupiansk direction saw four repelled attacks by the Russians towards Petropavlivka and Pishchane. In the Lyman direction, the enemy intensified its efforts, conducting 16 assaults near Serednie, Novoselivka, Druzhliubivka, Oleksandrivka, Lyman, Stavky, Ozerne, and Drobysheve.
The Sloviansk direction remained tense: defense forces stopped five attempts by the enemy to advance near Serebryanka. In the Kramatorsk direction, three clashes occurred in the areas of Vasyukivka, Predtechyne, and towards Bondarne. In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian troops conducted 18 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyn, Pleshchiyivka, as well as towards Sofiivka and Stepaniivka.
Losses and Summary of the Day
Intense pressure from the occupiers was observed in the Pokrovsk direction — Ukrainian defense forces repelled 32 assaults in the areas of Chervonyi Lyman, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Dachne, and also in the directions of Novyi Shakhovyi, Doroha, Rodynske, and Hryshyne.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, 16 attacks were recorded near Yalta, Vyshneve, Oleksandrograd, Verbove, Pryvilne, Rybne, and towards Andriivka-Klevtsove. The Hulyaipole direction was marked by 19 assault attempts in the areas of Hulyaipole, Bilohirya, and towards Dobropillia. In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three attacks near Shcherbaky and Stepove, while in the Dnipro direction, three attacks towards the Antonivskyi Bridge were unsuccessful for the enemy.
Overall, on December 28, Russian invaders suffered losses of 1200 personnel, five tanks, eight armored combat vehicles, 15 artillery systems, two multiple launch rocket systems, 29 missiles, 688 unmanned aerial vehicles, and 166 units of automotive equipment.
Despite a slight decrease in the intensity of combat operations, the situation on the front remains tense, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to hold the defense in key directions and inflict significant losses on Russian occupiers.
