Warning About Possible Corruption Schemes
The head of the KCMVA, Timur Tkachенко, reported the emergence of individuals attempting to organize corruption schemes during the supply of concrete shelters for Kyiv, particularly through the extortion of so-called “kickbacks.”
“I have signals that some ‘fixers’ have appeared and are discussing ‘kickbacks’ regarding concrete shelters – they are seeking contacts of those responsible, heads of districts,” wrote the head of the KCMVA.
Tkachенко appealed to the Prosecutor’s Office, NABU, SBU, DBR, and the police to ensure legality, transparency, and quality in the implementation of the mobile shelter system in the capital. He emphasized that officials will not be allowed to gain illegal profits at the expense of residents’ safety.
Removing Bureaucratic Barriers for Procurement
The head of the KCMVA also informed that during the plenary session of the Kyiv City Council on November 6, bureaucratic obstacles for the procurement of mobile shelters by the city’s districts were removed. This is expected to accelerate and simplify the process of providing Kyiv residents with protective measures during emergencies.
