New Opportunities for District Administrations
In the coming days, the city authorities plan to approve a procedure that will allow district state administrations to officially spend budget funds on purchasing fuel for generators. Such generators have already been installed in schools, kindergartens, and other socially significant institutions in the capital. This step aims to ensure the uninterrupted operation of essential establishments even in the event of large-scale power outages.
The head of the Obolon District State Administration, Kyrylo Fesyk, spoke about this during a broadcast of the program “Kyiv Time”. He emphasized that the decision is expected to be made very soon and will have a positive impact on the operation of the existing generators.
“This decision should be adopted in the coming days. And I believe it will have a very positive effect on the use of the generators we already have,” said Fesyk.
Generator Reserve for the Obolon District
According to Kyrylo Fesyk, a reserve of generators has already been formed in the Obolon District, which constitutes about 30% of the need. These devices are to be used where there are no alternative power sources yet, or will serve as replacements for equipment that fails. Thus, the district is preparing for potential power supply disruptions and is taking steps to support the safety and stability of critical infrastructure.
