Employees of the capital’s police have detained a man suspected of causing an explosion of a car in the Podil district of Kyiv. Last night, this resident of the city threw a grenade at a parked vehicle, resulting in an explosion and damage to the car.

How the Incident Occurred
According to law enforcement agencies, after receiving a report about the incident, an investigative team, bomb technicians, and dog handlers immediately arrived at the scene.
“The police established that a resident of the apartment building threw a grenade from the window, which exploded on the roof of the car. As a result of the incident, no one was injured. The 41-year-old offender explained that he did this due to the noise from his neighbors,”
the police reported.
As a result of the investigative measures, remnants of the ammunition were found at the scene, and its origin is currently being established. The offender has been detained in accordance with the law. A criminal proceeding has been opened regarding the incident under part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for up to seven years of imprisonment for hooliganism.
