A tragic incident occurred in the Sviatoshynskyi district of Kyiv: an 11-year-old schoolboy threw a cat belonging to his neighbor out of the window of a high-rise building. The animal died as a result of the fall.

The authorities learned about the incident through social media, as relevant information appeared in one of the Telegram channels. After quickly identifying the minor, the police held a preventive conversation with the boy and his parents regarding the unacceptability of cruel treatment of animals.
The legal qualification of the incident is still being determined
Currently, law enforcement is investigating all the circumstances of the incident. The question of the legal qualification of the schoolboy’s actions under current legislation is being resolved.
