Kyiv University to Spend Nearly 10 Million on Restoring Building After Shelling

Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv plans to allocate nearly 10 million hryvnias for the repair of the Institute of International Relations building, located on Yuriy Illienko Street. The building was damaged as a result of a missile strike by Russia on the night of November 2 to 3, 2024.

Tender for Restoring Stained Glass Windows

The customer has announced a tender on the Prozorro platform. According to the tender documentation, 9.99 million hryvnias are planned to be spent on repair and restoration work, primarily concerning the stained glass windows.

Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv has decided to allocate nearly 10 million hryvnias for the restoration of the stained glass windows in the Institute of International Relations building on Yuriy Illienko Street, which were damaged as a result of a Russian airstrike on the night of November 3, 2024.

Timeline for the Work

The selection of the contracting organization will take place on June 2, 2025. The university expects that all restoration work will be completed by September 30, 2025. Thus, students and faculty will be able to return to the renovated building this fall.
