In the Desnyansky district of Kyiv, employees of the State Bureau of Investigations found a large stash of illegal weapons belonging to a law enforcement officer and his father.

Weapons and Ammunition Transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine
After the arsenal was discovered, the SBI transferred a significant amount of weapons and ammunition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including:
- over 35,000 rounds of ammunition;
- 6 grenade launchers;
- 6 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs);
- 130 grenades;
- 90 fragmentation grenades (FAGs);
- assault rifles;
- sniper rifles;
- impact-detonating fuses;
- observation devices;
- pistols;
- anti-personnel mines.
“The value of the arsenal is estimated at around 7 million hryvnias. The weapons are already being used for their intended purpose,” the SBI noted.
Case Circumstances and Suspicions
The illegal stash was discovered in April of this year in one of the garages in the Desnyansky district. The investigation revealed that the arsenal belonged to a law enforcement officer and his father. Both men were detained and charged under part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — illegal handling of weapons, military supplies, or explosives.
