Details of Personnel Changes and Cooperation with Parliament

According to the president, it is necessary to continue consultations with members of parliament to address some personnel issues. At the same time, some decisions regarding the restructuring of the government are already scheduled for consideration by the Cabinet in the coming week.

“We coordinated with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko positions in negotiations with partners regarding financial support for Ukraine and the implementation of agreements already reached at various levels,” noted the head of state.

Zelensky also emphasized the importance of timely implementation of each package of international support that was announced earlier. In his opinion, this should happen precisely when the country needs it the most.

Previous Dismissals in the Ministry of Defense

In January of this year, the Cabinet of Ministers made the decision to dismiss five deputy ministers of defense. The relevant government orders were published on the official portal. The following individuals were dismissed: Hanna Hvozdiyar, Volodymyr Zaverukha, Mykola Shevtsov, Oleksandr Kozenko, and Anatoliy Klochkо. All these decisions were made in accordance with current legislation, specifically according to the fourth paragraph of part two of Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine on Central Executive Bodies.

On January 14, the Verkhovna Rada supported the appointment of Mykhailo Fedorov as Minister of Defense. After this, President Zelensky outlined the main priorities for the new minister’s work, among which the key one is the implementation of a basic level of support for combat brigades with modern drones.
