President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia is mocking peacekeeping efforts as it does not feel any real pressure. Commenting on yet another attack by Russian drones on Dnipro, he noted that over 170 drones were used in the attacks throughout the evening and night, of which more than 100 were “Shaheds.” The massive strikes targeted the regions of Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Khmelnytskyi.

Zelensky reported four fatalities in Dnipro and expressed condolences to their families:
“Our unwavering gratitude to all those who help people on the ground after such attacks, saving lives, providing medical assistance, and clearing the rubble.”
The President emphasized that Russia continues its terrorist actions, prolongs the war, and does not feel pressure from the international community. He stated:
“Russia mocks the world’s peacekeeping efforts – prolonging the war and committing this terror because it still does not feel real pressure. Diplomacy can work, but it must be backed by actions that strengthen our warriors and deprive the occupiers of resources for war.”
Zelensky also pointed out that international partners know what actions can influence the situation, and this depends on the USA, Europe, and other countries that seek effective diplomacy.
Earlier, the head of Dnipropetrovsk reported damage in Dnipro as a result of the Russian drone attack, noting that initial reports indicated 4 fatalities and 15 injuries, but later the number of casualties rose to 21.
“The massive strike caused extensive destruction and fires. A hotel and restaurant complex, 11 private houses, garages, and a service station were on fire. High-rise buildings and 21 vehicles were also affected.”
Russian military forces regularly carry out attacks on Ukrainian regions using various types of weaponry, including strike drones, missiles, and more. The Russian leadership denies the existence of targeted strikes on civilian infrastructure, while Ukrainian authorities and international organizations classify these actions as war crimes.
